  1. How exciting! Were you there? Did you tape this? We just went on a Balto field trip, so this is even more exciting to us now. How fun to be there!

Heard you were sick. =o( Prayed for you, hope you are better and having a wonderful time with your sibs.

I am in awe of all the exciting experiences God gives you! Peru to Alaska and everything in between!

    The girls send their love.

  2. What an accomplishment. Is it symbolic that it ended in front of a church? :-) He "finished the race".

Friends want me to go dog-sledding in Sweden the next time they go. Interested?

  3. Sheila: Unfortunately, I didn't tape the video. In fact to be painfully honest, as he was crossing the finish line I was running like a crazy lady down Front St. about two minutes behind him with a nephew on my hip, a niece on each hand, and a rather rotten attitude since I missed the moment. :( I was sooooooo disappointed. Happily I got to see the interview below under the burled arch though (although it was tough to hear!) The reason the two dogs have wreaths around their necks is because the winning musher pics the dogs which have been his MVP during the Iditarod and honors them that way.

Kev- Yes, I think it's VERY symbolic. The race and athletes have so many incredible parallels to the Christian life. The church behind there is Nome Covenant, the church we attend and the guys on the scaffold in front of it are my brothers and their friend announcing the race for KICY, a Nome Radio station. :) Enjoy Sweden if you go!

  4. You with a rotten attitude?! Tell me it's not true!!! All my visions of angelic-ness and perfection and entire sanctification are now utterly and thoroughly ruined. Sigh.

Well. Hmmm. Now that I've considered it, I still think you're awesome. :-)
